Dear Brother Jeffrey,

My family has had two experiences involving “healing” due to Our Lady of Consolation’s intervention. In 1982 our daughter, 11 years old at the time, was diagnosed with a “mass” on the side of her neck by two doctors. Shortly after this we attended a healing Mass at the Shrine to pray for her good health. The following week we returned to the specialist for further testing and we were told the “mass” was completely gone and it never returned!

Most recently my husband was diagnosed by a specialist after an MRI with a condition with his knee that required surgery and we were told that there was no guarantee that the surgery would be successful. We decided to attend Mass at the Shrine and prayed for the healing of his knee. We brought holy water home with us and I rubbed it on his knee. The following week he visited another doctor who reviewed the MRI and Xrays, and the doctor told him that he did not need surgery after all. The pain has gone and he is walking normally. I have to believe that Our Lady once again came to our rescue! I have a dear friend who was recently diagnosed with a serious illness and we are planning another visit to the Shrine soon.
