Pilgrimages

Since 1875 when the Miraculous Statue of Our Lady of Consolation first came to Carey, pilgrims of all ages have come to this sacred place seeking our Blessed Mother’s consolation and intercession.

As a basilica, shrine, and a Jubilee Year pilgrimage site, it is an honor to host pilgrims on our sacred grounds. Whether you are coming as an individual, a small group informal visit, or an organized group, we are happy to work with you to arrange a pilgrimage to best fit your schedule and your needs.

Our Friars and Staff are very accomodating and will do our absolute best to make your visit prayerful and memorable.

The Basilica is a place of healing and countless blessings through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, Our Lady of Consolation. We hope and pray that here, in this sacred place, all who come before this humble statue of Mary may find faith, hope, and healing to continue this pilgrimage of life which is a journey to join our heavenly Father in heaven.
