The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation will hold its final Hope & Healing Mass of 2026 one month from today on Saturday, October 3 at 11:00am in the Upper Basilica.

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated within Mass. Those who are in need of anointing (https://olcshrine.com/healing-masses/#healing-conditions) are invited to come forward to receive the Sacrament. All present are welcome to receive an individual blessing with the Relic of the True Cross following Mass.

Lunch will be offered by the Knights of Columbus Carey Council #1925 in the Shrine Cafeteria following the Healing Mass. All are invited. A donation of $8.00 is suggested.

With the Year of Saint Francis proclaimed by Pope Leo XIV, all those who come to the Basilica in the manner of a pilgrimage, participate in the Mass or recite the Our Father, Creed, and also invoke Our Lady, Saint Francis, and the Franciscan Saints may obtain a plenary indulgence. The usual conditions—complete detachment from sin, sacramental confession, reception of Holy Communion, and prayers for the Pope’s intention—must also be fulfilled.
