Duo Beaux Arts Concert
On Thursday, March 5 at 7:00pm, Our Lady of Consolation will welcome pianists Catherine Lan and Tao Lin of Duo Beaux Arts to play a concert of music for piano for four hands. Catherine Lan and Tao Lin, a husband and wife duo, are internationally acclaimed pianists.

The concert will take place in the Upper Basilica. It is free and open to all—a freewill offering will be taken up during the concert.

Duo Beaux Arts Biography
Since its inception in 2008 by concert pianists Catherine Lan and Tao Lin, Duo Beaux Arts has engaged with audience through unique programming and adrenalized presentation of music from various genres. The Duo has been featured on National Public Radio, Public Broadcasting Service, and Maine Public, to name a few. Presented by notable series including Impromptu Series (FL), The Cosmos Club (D.C.), Four Seasons Arts Series (CA), Northeast Kingdom Concert Series (VT), Kamerman Piano Series (FL), Los Alamos Concert Associations (NM), and Tallahassee Concert Associations (FL), Catherine and Tao have collectively performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York (USA), Victoria Hall in Singapore (Singapore), Izumi Hall in Osaka (Japan), Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver (Canada), Bartók Hall at Buda Castle in Budapest (Hungary), Edvard Grieg Museum in Bergen (Norway), Pianola Museum in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Kadriorg Palace in Tallinn (Estonia), Temppeliaukio in Helsinki (Finland), Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge (UK), and UNESCO Eufrazijeva Bazilika in Poreč (Croatia). As pedagogues, they have taught masterclasses and appeared as guest artists across Asia, North America, and Europe including at summer festivals such as Bowdoin International Music Festival, Mainly Mozart Festival, Music Festival of the Hamptons, Swan City Piano Festival, Romanza Festivale in St Augustine, Beethoven Festival in Miami, Music Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Rovinj Summer Festival, and Karlovac Piano Festival. In 2024, the Duo was invited artist in residency giving lectures and performing concerts at La Maison d’éducation de la légion d’honneur in Saint Denis, France, a school founded by Napoleon in 1805. Season highlight includes debut recitals in Dubai, U.A.E. and Madrid, Spain, artist residency at Mustjala Festival in Estonia, as well as returning engagements in Canada and France. Duo Beaux Arts is a Steinway Ensemble.
