Good Friday Walk

Take part in the annual Good Friday Walk from Frenchtown to Carey. The walk takes place on April 18, 2025.

Important Information Regarding Transportation

There is NO parking permitted at the Frenchtown site. Walkers must be dropped off. Drives who want to walk should return to OLC after dropoff and will be shuttled back to Frenchtown to participate.

Timeline

8:40am – Opening Ceremony at site of former Saint Nicholas Church – 8981 CR 6, Frenchtown, OH

9:15am – Leave Frenchtown for walk back to Carey. During the walk, we participate in Stations of the Cross and the Rosary. There will be a stoppage for lunch along the way. Please pack a lunch and remember it is a day of abstinence from meat (ages 14 and older) and of fasting (ages 18-59).

1:00pm – Closing Ceremony – Liturgy of Good Friday and Veneration of the Cross at Our Lady of Consolation

3:00pm – Optional Stations of the Cross in the OLC Shrine Park
