Jubilee Prayers

Home  /  Jubilee Prayers

It is an extremely special year for Our Lady of Consolation: while the Universal Church celebrates the Jubilee of Hope, we here also celebrate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the Miraculous Statue of Our Lady and the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the upper church! In celebration of these momentous occasions, we have composed a prayer for our Jubilees. We encourage you to pray it as well as the official prayer for the Jubilee of Hope.

Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen.

Holy Mary, Mother of Consolation,
we ask for your blessing
and your prayers.

Be with us during this
Journey of Faith, Hope, and Healing
as we celebrate our Jubilee Year.

We turn to you today,
gracious Mother of Consolation,
in prayer for our families,
our Church, and the World.

Father in heaven,
may the Faith you have given us
in your Son, Jesus Christ,
help us become true Pilgrims of Hope
for announcing the coming of your Kingdom.

May the grace of this Jubilee Year
lead us closer to Jesus the Healer,
and at the hour of our death,
be with us and bless us
as we return home to our loving God.

Mary, Consoler of the Afflicted,
hear our prayers for Faith, Hope, and Healing,
and guide us ever closer to your beloved Son,
and His Gospel of love.
Amen.
